It centered around being away from my daughter. Personally I didn’t want to be away from her. I felt like I was missing out on so much and I just wanted to be home with her. So one evening I started frantically googling “work from home jobs for moms” and found an article like this. The first option was the same as mine, “start a blog” I thought umm no! I need real money. I have to replace my income. – Luckily I kept it in the back of my mind, and joined this Facebook group (super helpful for women entrepreneurs, especially moms!) – After lurking on there for a few weeks I realized.. there’s so much potential in blogging and I can be my own boss. – and so the journey to MY LIFE AS A MOM AND CAREER began. – Work from Home Jobs for Moms Below are 12 stay at home mom jobs that are flexible enough for you to stay home with your kids and make money. Real money. Start a Blog- If you’re looking for a way to be your own boss and choose your own salary this one is for you. Clearly a favorite of mine because it’s the path I chose to take. Starting your own blog can be personally rewarding as well as financially. We’re not talking the blog where you write about what you do all day. I would have zero content if that were the case. Also I’m pretty sure that’s being an influencer. You can start a blog about anything. Literally anything. You run it like a business but there are no implications if you miss a deadline because guess who’s the boss? You! The new thing these days is multiple streams of income and this is the perfect way to do that. There are so many channels to pull from when it comes to monetizing your blog. Become a Freelance Writer- No degree needed, this is also a great way to be your own boss.. kind of. You can take the gigs you want and leave the others in the dust. So many businesses need writers, more than you’d think. One woman who is incredibly helpful to moms who want to begin freelancing is Elna Cain, author of twinsmommy.com. Network Marketing- also known as direct sales, lots of women have success selling products they love and building teams which grows their income. I know several women who do this stay at home mom jobs and rock it! There are sooo many companies out there that you can do direct sales for. When choosing a company I suggest trying their products and checking out the compensation plan. Some are better than others and you want the best! Be the mom you want to be by starting a stay at home mom job.

Online Teaching- This is an industry that is really taking off, especially now since the pandemic forced many people to shift toward teaching online anyway! Whether you want to teach your favorite subject on outskool or teach English online earning from $15 an hour, it’s your decision! Typically the downside of online teaching is the hours are really early, so take that into consideration if your babe doesn’t sleep well or wakes early. Virtual Assistant- As a blogger I know the importance of virtual assistants, they are essential as your business begins to grow. Virtual assistants typically send emails, create graphics, and manage groups or pages. You can choose which roles you want to take on because it will be your business! Social Media Manager- Similar to a VA but directly focused on social media, a social media manager manages and runs social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Pinterest Manager- The same type of role as a social media manager, but solely focused on Pinterest. As a blogger, Pinterest is a beast of its own and many people invest in Pinterest managers to help grow their traffic. If you become familiar with the algorithm you can really help a lot of people. Graphic Designer- If you’re creative or even if you’re not but you are willing to learn, you can become a graphic designer. From making websites to creating graphics for social media or even logos, many businesses need graphic designers to keep their image fresh and new.

Photographer- Schedule your photoshoots in the evening and edit throughout the day, being a photographer is a high paying job that can be so rewarding! You’ll want to make sure you learn how to edit and invest in a good camera, but this job works for many moms who want to stay home. There are so many options, you can find the one that works best for your family. Run a day home- if you’re staying home with your babe, why not keep a few extra and charge for the week? It helps other mamas knowing their babies are safe with someone they trust and you get to be home with your babe while still making money. Make and Sell on Etsy- Get creative with physical goods or digital ones! Some popular items are signs for the home, jewelry, and shirts. There are so many other products though! Some great digital products to create are planners, schedules, and checklists. Tutor Online- Similar to teaching online, but focused on supporting skills instead of introducing them. Tutoring can sometimes pay more per hour, but the hours are typically in the evening.
